GOP plan: No HS diploma? No unemployment check
Mon Jan 9, 2012
Another genius idea from a bunch of idiot, out-of-touch millionaires. Republicans are happy to do anything they can to punish people who are out of work through no fault of their own, but absolutely nothing to help them get jobs, like encouraging job creation.
Perry: 'This is Omaha Beach'
Tue Jan 3, 2012
What a complete bozo.
South Carolina voter ID law blocked by Justice Department
Fri Dec 23, 2011
Regardless of race, these laws are attempts at voter suppression, plain and simple. If the right wing was as enthusiastic about preventing financial fraud as they are about stamping out non-existent voter fraud, our economy wouldn't be in the mess it's in today.
As 2012 turnout battle brews, Justice Dept. eyes voter ID laws
Mon Dec 5, 2011
This article (and many of the shrill comments left in response) is misleading in that it fails to mention a simple fact: voter fraud of the type that these laws purport to address is virtually nonexistent in the US.
POLL: Who is to blame for deficit panel failure?
Mon Nov 21, 2011
Where was all the republican hand-wringing about debt when they were the ones running it up? Big tax cuts for the rich? No problem. Unfunded wars? Bring it on - we got money to burn. Spending cuts? Deficits don't matter.
Some retailers pull back from Black Friday arms race
Fri Nov 18, 2011
Don't shop at all that Friday. Christmas shouldn't be a bloated orgy of consumption.
Budget sequesters looming: who’ll be at risk?
Wed Nov 16, 2011
Defense should definitely be cut, and severely. It is the most bloated and wasteful department in the federal government, and the one most riddled with fraud. We now spend more than all the other countries in the world combined on the means to kill, and there's absolutely no need or excuse for it.
Credit union business grows as consumers sour on banks
Thu Nov 3, 2011
I can't imagine why anyone would keep their money with one of the big banks. They have absolutely no conscience and will do anything to continue their obscene profits and bonuses.
House reaffirms 'In God We Trust' as US motto
Wed Nov 2, 2011
As if we needed any more proof that congress is completely out of touch with the lives of the real people they are supposed to represent. Why aren't these idiots actually working?
Greek PM convinces cabinet to push referendum deal ahead
Tue Nov 1, 2011
Interesting to hear all these supposedly democratic leaders condemning the idea of putting the involuntary impoverishment of the Greeks to a vote of the people. The other countries don't care much about Greece, they're just trying to protect their own asses.
